The Story – First Litter 1985
Before puppy farms. Before mass production. Before the breed was diluted by those who prioritised appearances over ability. We bred our first litter in 1985 and we have never stopped.
Our dogs trace directly to the legendary Chesara Dark Charles bloodline — one of the most respected working Rottweiler lines ever produced in the United Kingdom. This is documented, verifiable lineage recorded through the Kennel Club. Not a marketing claim.
Over four decades we have watched the Rottweiler change. Modern show lines have produced dogs that are smaller, nervier, and in many cases lacking the stable temperament that defined the original breed. The butcher's dog. The drover's dog. The family guardian. That animal is almost gone from the show world. We have kept it alive.
Families come to us from across the country. They drive from Scotland. They come back for their third, fourth and fifth dog. Entire families — children of original buyers, now buying for their own homes. That continuity is not built on marketing. It is built on 40 years of never cutting corners.
We do not do video calls. We do not run buyers through interrogation processes. We breed good dogs, we sell them to good homes, and we stay available for the lifetime of every dog we produce. That is the arrangement. It has not changed in 40 years.
